February/April Newsletter

We are busy working towards our Open House week in February and Showtime 2015.

Congratulations to Miss Megan Truslove who has gained a place at ‘Stella Mann Stage School’ in Bedford. She will be starting in September.

The Lee Academy 20th year Anniversary Show is going to be held at Bedworth Civic Hall on

Tuesday 26th May and Wednesday 27th May 2015 at 7.00pm.

Please note that this is during school half term. Tuesday will be during the day and evening for rehearsal and performance, and Wednesday will be an evening performance. Further information over page.
Dress rehearsals at the village hall will take place on Saturday 16th & 23rd May.

Tickets are now available from The Bedworth Civic Hall Box Office 02476 376707 at £11 each.

Show Administration and Helpers

For some students on the show there is an essential ‘exemption form’ that will need to be completed and signed by parents at the open house sessions.

Dressers/Back stage help – Please could we ask for any parents who hold a current DBS form, who would be willing to help with dressing at the show to register your name with Donna. It is really appreciated, and the show is only able to run as smoothly as it does with the help back stage. Unfortunately, if we don’t have enough help we won’t be able to run our show.

Mens Dance

Calling all Dads, Grandads and Uncles!! The men’s dance will be part of the show, and we would love to see some new faces join in this time. Please see Donna, and register your interest ASAP. Rehearsals will be on Saturday 21st, 28th March and Saturday 18th, 25th April and Saturday 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd May at 3.00-3.30pm.

Costumes for Showtime 2015

We have been given an idea of some of the costume prices for the show. We will be issuing bills as soon as possible, but if anyone would like to speak to Donna in the meantime, please feel free to do so.

Singing

There will be places available in the singing class after the show. Lesia would like singing students to wear a uniform, which will consist of a black polo shirt and either black leggings or jazz pants. This will be worn for lessons and performances, including the show.
